A man, who claimed to have narrowly escaped from suspected Fulani herdsmen but sustained some injuries, has disclosed that herdsmen attacked travellers on Saturday along the Sapele-Warri Road in Delta state.
He explained that the attackers also hit him with a gun and whisked away his family.
The man, who did not identify himself, further narrated in a video shared by social media that occupants of other vehicles were kidnapped.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, however, said it does not have any report of a kidnap operation by suspected herdsmen on the mentioned road.
Edafe stated this while responding to an enquiry on the matter.
According to PUNCH, the police spokesman, who denied knowledge of the incident stated that; “No report of such please,” he said in a text message.
