As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 87 new cases of the deadly virus in seven states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Thursday, November 4, 2021.
According to the agency, the new cases were reported in seven states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The figure is a 104 percent drop from the 209 cases reported on Wednesday.
The states with fresh infections are Zamfara (29), FCT (25), Rivers (11), Kano (8), Bauchi (5), Gombe (4), Lagos (3), and Jigawa (2).
The NCDC data showed that 37 patients recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday.
Two persons were said to have died of COVID complications.
Nigeria now has 212,446 confirmed cases, 204,047 recoveries and 2,902 deaths.
