The Ogun State commissioner for Education, science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu in a conversation with WITHIN NIGERIA have said that plans are ongoing by the Ogun state health commissioner to bring vaccination exercise to schools in the state.
Recall that the Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun had on Monday, at the flag-off of covid-19 mass vaccination campaign, issued a 60-day ultimatum to residents who are yet to receive the covid 19 vaccine.
Dapo Abiodun said residents who fail to meet up with the 60-day ultimatum risk being barred from Government offices, schools, marketplaces and public transport
Prof Abayomi also confirmed that the deadline also affect schools in the state, tertiary institutions inclusive.
“Plans are already ongoing by the commissioner of health to bring vaccination to schools. The statement of the Ogun Governor was clear and we will ensure that we put this in place. The 60 days ultimatum also covers Tertiary institutions too”, Prof. Abayomi said.
