The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Andy Uba, has vowed to recover the mandate given to him by the people in the just concluded Anambra Governorship poll.
Uba stated this in a meeting with the stakeholders of the party in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on Saturday.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced Prof. Charles Soludo as winner of the governorship election after he polled the highest vote followed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Valentine Ozigbo while Uba finished on third position.
He urged his supporters not to lose hope but believe that his mandate would be recovered, alleging there was wide spread manipulation of the poll.
He said, “We will do everything possible to recover the mandate. Don’t lose hope; don’t weep. The election was grossly manipulated and it obvious to everybody.”
This publication had also reported that the APC Chairman in Anambra state, Basil Ejidike, had accused Governor Willie Obiano and Soludo of rigging the governorship election in favour of the APGA candidate.
Ejidike said the APC will definitely challenge the election process at the court of law, up to Supreme Court.
