Heavy-duty equipment, including chillers and generator sets, were destroyed in a fire that occurred inside a business facility in the Isiokpo axis of D/line in Port Harcourt on Saturday night.
The fire which started at about 10 pm was said to have been triggered by an illegal diesel dump in a compound.
Though no life was lost in the inferno, one of those affected, Usman Ibrahim, a scrab dealer, said he lost over N 40m worth of goods.

People were ordered to ‘avoid the area and do not unnecessarily clutter emergency lines’ by the fire services.
The street is one of Paris’ ‘grand boulevards’, the most iconic the city has to offer.
Saturday’s blaze in reminiscent of the 2019 fire which gutted the world-famous Notre-Dame cathedral.
