COVID: Nigeria records 36 new cases, over 200 recoveries

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 36 new cases of the deadly disease in seven states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Monday, November 22.

According to the agency, the states with the new infections are Lagos (21), Kano (4), FCT (3), Gombe (3), Niger (2), while Bauchi, Plateau and Rivers reported one case each.

The NCDC said 260 people were discharged out of which 240 are recoveries from the FCT.

No fatalities were recorded on Monday as the death figure stands at 2,974.

Nigeria now has 213,625 confirmed cases with 206,778 recoveries.
