As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 141 new cases of the deadly disease in eleven states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Wednesday, November 24.
According to the agency, the fresh infections were recorded in 11 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The states with new cases are Lagos (46), Benue (44), FCT (15), Kastina (12), Bauchi (9), Kano (4), Delta (3), Enugu (2), Kwara (2), Rivers (2), while Gombe and Plateau reported one case each.
The agency said the cases confirmed in Benue, the FCT and Bauchi are backlogs infections.
The NCDC data showed that 219 people recovered from the infection.
No COVID fatality was reported on Wednesday leaving the fatality figure at 2,974.
So far, Nigeria has confirmed 213,818 infections and 207,016 recoveries.
