In Port Harcourt, River State, a 16-year-old girl who accused her father of raping her has changed her story in the police station, claiming that she was influenced into making the ‘false’ accusation by an evil spirit.

According to the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign, the teenager reported her father rapping her on Tuesday, November 22nd to Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo.

She later changed her mind at the Human Rights Desk of the Rivers State Police Headquarters on Moscow Road, telling investigators and detectives that she was misled by an evil spirit to falsely accuse her father.

“Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign was contacted upon her complain to the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt,” the group said in a statement on Thursday.
