Sergio Ramos has finally gotten his long-awaited debut for Paris Saint-Germain in their meeting with Saint-Etienne.
The 35-year-old arrived at the Parc des Princes in the summer on a free transfer from Real Madrid, but has missed his side’s first 19 games of the campaign due to injury.
Ramos made it back to the bench for the midweek defeat at the hands of Manchester City, but his debut was delayed till Sunday.
He took the place of Presnel Kimpembe, who was benched after an unconvincing showing against City.
PSG beat Saint-Etienne 3-1, coming from a goal down.
Lionel Messi provided the assists for the goals, first to Marquinhos, who equalised in extra time of the first half.
Angel De Maria scored PSG’s second goal in the 79th minute.
Then Marquinhos recorded his brace for the day when he struck again in extra time.
Neymar’s attempt saw the back of the net in the 5th minute, but was ruled out after a review by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
