Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has welcomed Ralf Rangnick to the ‘greatest club in the world’.
Neville said this while reacting to Rangnick’s appointment as Man United’s interim manager.
DAILY POST reports that Man United officially announced Rangnick as their new interim manager on Monday.
Rangnick’s appointment comes less than 24 hours after Manchester United drew 1-1 with Chelsea in a Premier League tie on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.
Reacting, Neville, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday, urged Rangnick to ‘coach’ Man United throughout his two-and-a-half-year deal to turn things around for the club.
“Welcome to the Greatest Football Club in the World Ralf Rangnick,” Neville tweeted. ‘A contract for 6 months to coach the team.
“A contract for 2 years to coach the club.”
