Nigeria has recorded three more cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its update for Tuesday, December 7.
According to a statement by Ifedayo Adetifa, NCDC director-general, the new cases were detected in individuals with recent travel history to South Africa.

A number of countries in Europe banned travel from countries in Africa following the discovery of the Omicron COVID-19 variant by South Africa.
