UEFA has conducted a fresh draw for the Champions League round of 16 after a series of mistakes rendered the earlier draw void.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the European football governing body was forced to declare Monday morning’s process void and agreed to redo the draw at 2 pm GMT blaming some technicalities.
Manchester United had been handed a mouth-watering last-16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain but only after being erroneously paired with Villarreal in the first instance and then mistakenly left off the list of possible opponents to face Atletico Madrid.
The Red Devils will now take on Atletico, while PSG plays Real Madrid.
Chelsea retain their tie against Lille, Inter Milan face Liverpool and Manchester City have been paired against Sporting Lisbon.
