The draw for the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League Group Stage was conducted at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.
Pitso Mosimane, coach of Egyptian giants, Al Ahly SC, assisted Khaled Nassar, CAF Head of Competitions, in the draw.
It paved the way towards the group stage of the premier continental club competition.
But it had significant pairings, with Mosimane’s African champions Al Ahly drawn alongside his former South African club, Mamelodi Sundowns, alongside two Sudanese clubs.
