President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House, Abuja.
Jonathan reportedly arrived at the State House, Abuja around 3.00 pm.
They thereafter entered into a ‘closed-door’ meeting.
The former president has been the head of ECOWAS Special Envoy to Mali since the coup in the country a year ago.
Jonathan had always briefed Buhari on the outcome of the deliberation in Mali.
In other news, the federal government has approved the sum of N185 billion for the construction and dualization of the Calabar-Itu highway.
The money is part of the N621 billion tax credit scheme of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to fund the reconstruction of 21 federal roads.
This was disclosed by the senior special assistant to the president on Niger Delta Affairs, Ita Enang while briefing journalists after a tour of the project on Wednesday.
