In other news, the federal government has approved the sum of N185 billion for the construction and dualization of the Calabar-Itu highway.

The money is part of the N621 billion tax credit scheme of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to fund the reconstruction of 21 federal roads.

This was disclosed by the senior special assistant to the president on Niger Delta Affairs, Ita Enang while briefing journalists after a tour of the project on Wednesday.
