Nigeria has recordes 423 new cases of COVID-19 in 16 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Thursday, January 13.
According to the agency, a breakdown of the cases is shown as follows: Lagos-120, Rivers-118, Anambra-38, FCT-32, Gombe-31, Kaduna-21, Oyo-14, Benue-11, Cross River-10, Kwara-9, Borno-5, Kano-5, Bauchi-3, Jigawa-3, Abia-1, Ogun-1 and Sokoto-1.
The agency said 364 people were discharged after they recovered from the infection.
There were no deaths recorded on Thursday, leaving the fatality toll at 3,092.
With the new confirmed cases, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 250,009 infections and 221,203 recoveries.
