Some Haitian nationals who traced their root to the Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria visited Enugu state to have a touch with their ancestral home.
According to PUNCH, the delegation met with traditional rulers and government officials during their visit to the state on Friday.
Haiti is a Caribbean country that shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic to its east.
According to a 2020 World Bank report, Haiti’s population is 11.4 million people and most of her inhabitants are mainly of African origin.
The official languages of the Caribbean country are Haitian Creole, French.
