Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has revealed one major advantage the Super Eagles have over their Round of 16 opponent, Tunisia, ahead of their tie on Sunday night.
Ndidi said playing in Garoua is an advantage for Super Eagles over Tunisia because they already have many supporters in the city, having played their group stage matches against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau there.
The Leicester City star stated this during his pre-match press conference on Saturday.
The 25-year-old said; “Playing in Garoua is an advantage for us, we have many supporters here and we need that.”
He added, “There are no preferred players in the team. The coach decides who plays and we all have the same target.”
Nigeria head to the game after winning all their matches in the group stage, while Tunisia won 1 and lost two.
