Nigeria has recorded 65 new cases of COVID in six states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Wednesday, February 2.
According to the agency report, a breakdown of the new infections by states is listed as follow; Lagos-19, Kano-16, Rivers-12, FCT-11, Kaduna-4, Niger-2 and Delta-1.
The NCDC data showed that 26 persons were discharged after recovering from the infection. One person was said to have died of COVID complications.
The agency said Wednesday’s report includes two cases in Niger logged on January 31.
Nigeria now has a total of 253,405 confirmed cases, 229,676 recoveries and 3,136 deaths.
