BREAKING: Bandits invade police station, kill 3 officers, kidnap others in Niger

Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked a police station in Niger State, killed three officers while an unspecified number of others were abducted on Thursday.

According to SaharaReporters, the gunmen in a night raid stormed Ishau police station in the Paikoro Local Government Area of the state and carried out the attack.

The assailants also attacked 11 communities in the Kafin-koro area, which include Zubakpere, Kuna, Aboloso, Kudami, Dakolon Daji, Nugwazi, Amale, Adunu, Ishau and parts of Beni.

It was gathered that the gunmen kidnapped many people including a village head and four of his children as well as five women in six of the communities.

The state police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, is yet to comment on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
