One person killed after a truck plunged into ditch at the Giri Junction of the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday.
The truck, with registration number, KA615FKY, and on top speed, was said to had veered off the road and plunged into the ditch.
According to PUNCH, a source said two other occupants escaped the accident unhurt.
The source said, “It was only the truck that was involved in the accident. Three people, including the driver, were involved in the accident, but one of the occupants died, while the other two escaped unhurt.
“The body of the dead passenger has been deposited in the morgue. The truck driver was speeding and later lost control before diving into a ditch at the Giri area of FCT. The truck was badly damaged.”
The Federal Capital Territory Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Sector Commander, Ogar Ochi, who confirmed the incident said that officers of the agency had since cleared the wreckage.
