ISWAP families leave Marte after elimination of top commanders

Following fatal attacks, families of terrorists from the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) are fleeing Marte.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that recent Nigerian Air Force (NAF) bombardments in Borno town killed four top ISWAP leaders.

Amir Abdulrahman of Abbaganaram; Imam Tujja, Imam of Bukar Mairam; Malam Ibrahim, Amir of Jubularam, and Bakura Imar died during the attack.

The military’s Operation Hadin Kai increased offensives in Marte after intelligence revealed multiple camps.

Some wounded fighters were evacuated to locations within Kirta Wulgo, an operative told PRNigeria.

“We are aware of movements of their women and children towards Buningil, Bakassi, Doron Liman, and Daban Alfa”, the officer said.

In some cases, relocating insurgents’ families members surrender to troops when tired or out of food and water.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL) protects women, children and the displaced during battles.
