A male official of the Anambra Traffic Management Agency (ATMA) has reportedly been shot dead by gunmen, who invaded Ekwulobia town in the Aguata Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday morning.
According to Daily Post, an eyewitness said that it was not clear if the men are armed robbers, cultists or bandits operating in the guise of unknown gunmen.
The source said the unidentified traffic official, who was controlling traffic at the ever-busy Ekwulobia junction was gunned down, with a bullet shattering his head from behind.
The aforementioned publication reported that the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga could not be immediately reached for comments.
