COVID-19: Nigeria records 37 fresh infections in five states, FCT

Nigeria has recorded 37 new cases of deadly disease, Coronavirus in five states and the federal capital territory (FCT).

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

According to the agency’s report, the breakdown of state infections is as follow; Lagos-16, FCT-11, Katsina-4, Kano-3, Rivers-2 and Kaduna-1.

The agency data showed 10 persons were discharged on Wednesday after recovering from the infection.

No death was recorded on Wednesday for the fourth consecutive day, leaving the fatality figure at 3,139.

The country now has a total of 253,875 confirmed cases and 230,221 recoveries.
