Nigeria has recorded 47 new cases of deadly disease, Coronavirus in eight states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Friday, February 11, 2022.
According to the agency’s report for February 11, Lagos — the epicentre of the pandemic — reported 22 cases, followed by the FCT with five infections.
A breakdown of the cases is shown below: Lagos-22, FCT-5, Kwara-5, Osun-5, Delta-3, Kaduna-3, Jigawa-2, Nasarawa-1 and Rivers-1.
The NCDC data showed that 24 persons were discharged after they recovered from the infection.
One person was said to have died from the infection, raising the total fatalities to 3,140.
