Former Nigerian striker, Jonathan Akpoborie, has told Super Eagles coaches, Austine Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amuneke, what they have to do to ensure goals flow in the upcoming Nigeria vs Ghana for 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff in March.
Jonathan Akpoborie beckoned on the coaches to begin the match with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis when Nigeria clash with Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff.
According to Akpoborie, goals will flow if Osimhen and Dennis feature for Nigeria against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Nigeria and Ghana will face off in a two-legged 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March.
Both West African giants crashed out of the just-concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.
Recall that Osimhen narrowly missed the 2021 AFCON tournament due to health grounds, while Dennis missed the competition due to club refusal to release him.
“No doubt, we missed the services of Victor Osimehen and Emmanuel Dennis at the just concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon. One thing I love about them is the fact that they are determined and always hungry for goals,” Akpoborie told Complete Sports.
“It will be a delight to see the two players team up against the Black Stars of Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff. I am very optimistic that goals will flow and the Super Eagles will qualify ahead of their West African rival.”
