Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly, has reacted to the killing of eight Northerners in Abia cattle market.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that that gunmen reportedly killed several persons during an invasion of the newly constructed Abia cattle market in Omumauzor in Ukwa West local area of Abia State.
The hoodlums killed traders, mostly northerners and slaughtered their cows.
Sani urged the Abia State Government to ensure that those behind the killed were dealt with.
The socio-political activist said the government should compensate the family of the deceased.
In a tweet, the former lawmaker stressed that every Nigerian has the right to live in any part of the country.
“The cold blooded murder of eight persons in the Abia cattle market stands unreservedly condemned.
“The Govt. of Abia State must ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice and the families of the deceased compensated.
“Every Nigerian has the right to live in any part of Nigeria,” he tweeted.
