Nigeria has recorded 8 new cases of the deadly disease, Coronavirus better known as COVID-19 in two states.
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Thursday, March 3, 2022.
According to the agency’s report, the new infections were logged in two states — Rivers (5) and FCT (3).
The agency said 16 people were discharged after they recovered from the infection. No fatality was reported.
With the newly-confirmed cases, a total of 254,606 infections have been recorded with 249,154 recoveries and 3,142 fatalities.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Nigeria has recorded 28 new cases of deadly disease, COVID-19 in four states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
