Nigeria has recorded three new cases of deadly disease, COVID in two states.
The COVID result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Saturday’s figure was the lowest number of daily new COVID-19 cases in 2022 so far.
According to agency’s report, a breakdown of new cases showed that the states that reported the infections were Katsina (2) and Kaduna (1).
No death figure was recorded from COVID-19 complications, leaving the death toll at 3,142.
Meanwhile, the daily count of recoveries increased slightly, with 11 patients discharged on Saturday, increasing the total to 249,171.
Since the index case in February 2020, Nigeria has confirmed 254,640 coronavirus infections.
