As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 17 new cases of the deadly virus in four states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Sunday, March 6, 2022.
According to the agency’s report, a breakdown of the fresh infections is shown below; Imo-8, Oyo-4, FCT-2, Osun-2 and Kano-1.
The NCDC data showed 28 persons were discharged after they recovered from the infection.
No death was reported on Sunday leaving the total number of fatalities at 3,142.
In total, 254,657 cases have been confirmed with 249,199 recoveries.
