Human rights’ activist, Omoyele Sowore’s lawyer, Abubakar Marshal, have been granted bail by Upper Area Court sitting in Kabusa at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Marshal was freed at 11:30am on Tuesday, after the release warrant was perfected by the court officials.
The conditions attached to the bail were still sketchy as at time of this report.
SaharaReporters gathered that the judge had on Sunday ordered the release of the lawyer following condemnation of his action by Nigerians.
He was released to Sowore who was also in the court to witness the proceedings.
Abubakar who was in high spirit described his arrest as gross violation of his fundamental rights and vowed not to be discouraged.

Recall that the police had on Friday March 4 arrested Abubakar in his home on a trumped up allegation that he stood as surety for the activist and the activist had jumped bail.
He was hurriedly arraigned before an Area Court in Kabusa before a judge who was hired by Ned Nwoko to do the hatchet job.
He was remanded at Kuje prison before he was moved to Keffi prison.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) had condemned and described the incarceration of the lawyer as a manifestation of gross impunity and conspicuous disdain for rule of law and the process of law.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the Chairman, Security Agencies Relations Committee (NBA SARC), Chief Joe-Kyari Gadzama SAN, the association had called for his immediate release.
