COVID-19: Nigeria records 2 fresh infections in Rivers, Kaduna

Nigeria has recorded 2 fresh cases of deadly disease, COVID-19 in two states.

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Monday, March 7, 2022.

According to the agency’s report, the infections were logged in Kaduna and Rivers respectively.

The agency said Lagos and the federal capital territory (FCT) have not recorded any case in the past three and two days respectively.

Data from the NCDC showed that seven persons were discharged after they recovered from COVID-19 infections. For the 17th day in a row, no death was reported.

With the new cases, Nigeria has now recorded 254,659 infections, 249,206 recoveries and 3,142 fatalities.
