The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State is holding parallel primaries to pick the governorship flag bearer of the party for the 2020 poll.
Six aspirants obtained nomination forms but three of them pulled out, leaving Senator Ademola Adeleke, Prince Dotun Babayemi and Sanya Omirin in the race.
It was learnt that the faction loyal to Senator Ademola Adeleke is holding its primary at the Osogbo Township Stadium while the one loyal to Prince Dotun Babayemi is meeting at WOCDIF event centre along Ring Road, Osogbo.
A member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Shuaib Oyedokun, Ex-Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Prince Dotun Babayemi Senator Olu Alabi and Dele Adeleke (cousin of Senator Ademola Adeleke) were at the venue of Babayemi’s faction.
Delegates are undergoing screening by local government areas at WOCDIF centre.
Bayelsa Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewurujakpo; Adeleke; ex-Minister of Transport, Abiye Sekibo and factional party chair, Sunday Bisi, among others were at the stadium.
The election has commenced at Stadium where Ademola Adeleke has voted.
Delegates adorned with uniformed Ankara attire at Osogbo township stadium to participate in the exercise.
