As the battle against COVID-19, Nigeria has recorded 118 fresh infections in two states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
According to the agency’s report, a breakdown of the fresh infections is shown below; FCT – 68, Lagos – 49 and Rivers – 1
The agency data showed three persons were discharged after they recovered from the infection.
No death was reported on Tuesday making it the 18th day with no fatality.
The NCDC said the report includes 68 cases reported for the FCT for March 7, 2022 with 60 of the cases being returnees from Ukraine.
It also includes a backlog of 49 cases reported for Lagos from March 7 (8), 6 (23), 5 (18).
In total, 254,657 cases have been confirmed with 249,199 recoveries and 3,142 deaths.
