Nigeria has recorded 33 new cases of deadly disease named COVID-19 in four states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.
The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Thursday, March 10, 2022.
According to the agency’s report, a breakdown of the infections per state is as follow; Lagos-23, Rivers-6, Imo-2, FCT-1 and Kaduna-1.
Data from the NCDC showed that 19 persons were discharged after they recovered from COVID-19 infections. For the 20th day in a row, no death was reported.
The report for Thursday includes a backlog of 23 cases for Lagos state from March 9 (18) and 10 (5).
It also includes a backlog of one case reported for Kaduna from February 28.
With the new cases, Nigeria has now recorded 254,894 infections, 249,326 recoveries and 3,142 fatalities.
