A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus went up in flames on Friday at Agric Bus Stop in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The incident was said to have caused panic among road users as they scampered for safety.
According to Vanguard, an eyewitness said, ‘Street urchings popularly called ‘area boys’, stopped passers-bys, from putting out the fire as the excuse gathered was that they were angry because of what happened to the 22-year-old fashion designer, Ayanwole Oluwabimise, who was found dead in Lagos after boarding a Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, bus heading to Oshodi from Chevron bus stop, Lekki.”
As at the time of this report, no life was lost as all passengers alighted before it caught fire .
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that dead body of Bamise who got missing after boarding BRT bus from Ajah was reportedly found with some body parts missing on Monday.
Bamise got missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on February 26 when she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi about 7 pm at Chevron Bus-Stop.
The victim, who worked as a fashion designer in Ajah spent her weekends in Ota, Ogun State, with her sister, had sent some voice notes to a friend when she sensed danger.
