COVID-19: Nigeria records 8 fresh infections in two states

Nigeria has recorded eight new cases of deadly disease named COVID-19 in two states.

The COVID-19 result was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for Saturday, March 11, 2022.

According to the agency’s report, a breakdown of new cases showed that Kwara and Lagos recorded four positive samples respectively.

The COVID-19 death toll in the country remains unchanged at 3,142.

Meanwhile, five persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the virus, raising the country’s total number of recoveries to 249,340.

A total of 254,953 coronavirus cases have now been confirmed across the country.
