Four suspected terrorists have been killed by the police during a failed attack in the Malumfashi and Danmusa local government areas of Katsina State.
The police also raided the terrorist camps in different locations and recovered 131 cows and 55 sheep earlier rustled by the terrorists.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, while displaying the corpses of the slain terrorists said the operation followed a distress call received by the command that Yanmama village was being attacked by terrorists.
Isah said, “The team succeeded in blocking the terrorists at Kanyar-Nogora, Kukar-Sheka village, Kankara Local Government Area and had a fierce gun duel with them. The team successfully repelled the terrorists. Three terrorists were neutralised and seven cows were recovered. “
He added that on March 5, 2022, men of the command carried out sting operations and burnt down suspected terrorists’ camps at Yellawa, Hakin-Biri, in the Danmusa Local Government Area, and at Na-Iraqi in Safana Local Government Area.
He said the items recovered from the terrorists included two operational motorcycles, 92 cows and 32 sheep.
