As speculation about Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield lingers, Liverpool are reportedly looking to replace him with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
Salah’s contract with the Reds expires next year. In December of last year, he turned down a contract offer from the Premier League giants.
Salah and Liverpool are both ready to negotiate a new contract, but the club has yet to meet Salah’s demands.
According to Fichajes (via The Hard Tackle), Liverpool will turn to Dembele if Salah does not sign a new deal.
Dembele has endured an injury-ridden stint at Barcelona since joining the Catalan club from Borussia Dortmund for £126 million in 2017.
The report added that Liverpool are also interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria, Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio and Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry.
