LaLiga president, Javier Tebas tells Messi, Barcelona to reconcile

Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, has urged Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona to reconcile.

After PSG’s recent Champions League elimination, Tebas feels a possible return for Messi to Barcelona in the near future would be beneficial to all sides.

After the Blaugrana failed to renew his contract owing to LaLiga restrictions, Messi left for PSG last summer.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has struggled to make an impression since joining the French Ligue 1 giants, and was recently booed by PSG supporters after their Champions League defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

“I think [Messi] he’s got two or three years left at a really good level.

“At 80 percent of what we have seen, he’s still at the highest level.

“The marriage between Messi and Barcelona was perfect and I think reconciliation would generate important economic synergies for both sides. It would be good, economically,” Tebas told ESPN.
