Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the dead toll in Kaduna State’s Kaura and Jema’a local government areas.
According to reports, the death toll from Sunday’s gunmen attack in Kaduna has increased to 37, with security operatives discovering three more corpses on Wednesday.
In an update on Wednesday, Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, revealed that herders’ settlements in Zangon Kataf LGA had been razed.
In a tweet, Atiku condemned the attack, calling it “unacceptable.”
According to the presidential aspirant, the latest attack by gunmen has gotten to a point where human lives no longer have value.
His tweet read: “The latest attack in Kaduna in which scores of persons were killed is unacceptable and stands condemned.
“It is unacceptable that we’ve reached a point where human lives have no value.”
