After meeting with President Buhari, frontline National Chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Mohammed Sani Musa has stepped down from the race.
His spokesman, Nasir Mohammed, has confirmed this in a statement issued, Saturday.
Musa, currently representing Niger East Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate, announced this decision after the aspirants’ meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, the leader of the party yesterday.
He pledged to support Adamu, who is the choice of Buhari, to emerge as the next chairman of the party.
Earlier, Mr Buhari met with the aspirants for the party’s top job and informed them of his decision to support Mr Adamu, a serving senator and former governor of Nasarawa State.
