Tinubu cancels colloquium for victims of Kaduna-Abuja train attack

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has cancelled the 13th birthday colloquium in honour of victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train attacked by suspected terrorists on Monday evening.

Tinubu, who announced the cancellation a few minutes after the official kick-up of the event, described it as a national tragedy.

He said: “I am very sad about the situation and it calls for sober reflection,” before cancelling the event, which already attracted many important dignitaries.

Meanwhile, following the Monday evening attack on the Abuja -Kaduna train, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended train operations along that route.

NRC said it was suspending the service for the safety of travellers.
