A power outage has left many travellers stranded at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos.
The power outage at the airport, according to the PUNCH, deteriorated three days ago.
On Saturday, the departure lounge at Lagos International Airport was the most hit, according to reports.
“I suffered this morning while boarding. Power just suddenly went off,” a passenger identified as Ayodele, said.
According to an official at the airport, who pleaded anonymity, the generator that served as a back-up developed fault over 24 hours ago.
“Yes, there is a power challenge. The only generator we have been managing also packed up,” the worker said.
When contacted on Saturday, the Public Affairs of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, Faith Hope, promised to get back to newsmen.
