Terrorists have raided communities in Zamfara State’s Anka Local Government Area, killing 13 people in a fresh onslaught.
The villages affected are Kadaddaba, Rafin Gero, and Babban Baye.
Zamfara State is home to deadly bandits who have killed hundreds of people and ruined a large number of properties.
The terrorists murdered 13 persons, according to Muhammadu Shehu, a spokesman for the Zamfara Police Command.
According to him, 13 persons were slain in separate incidents on Thursday evening.
Locals, on the other hand, claim that 15 individuals were slain in the incident.
In other news, the Anambra traditional rulers council has stated that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has decided to end its sit-at-home directive in the south-east.
Nnaemeka Achebe, chairman of the council, said IPOB yielded to the appeal of the traditional council to make way for peace.
This was stated on Saturday by Achebe while speaking on Saturday after a peacebuilding and security meeting which took place in Awka, the state capital.
