President Muhammadu Buhari expressed condolences to former President Goodluck Jonathan on the death of two of his personal aides in a car accident on Friday.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports on Wednesday evening that Jonathan was involved in a car accident.
Two of his assistants were killed in the collision, which happened in Abuja.
The ECOWAS Special Envoy was on his way from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his apartment in Abuja when he was involved in an accident.
In response, Buhari joined fellow citizens in praying for the repose of the slain aides, urging their families to view their deaths as a sacrifice for the nation.
Buhari’s comment was contained in a statement signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, and forwarded to newsmen.
