Mesut Ozil, an ex-Arsenal midfielder, might join a new club after Fenerbahce suspended him.
Ozil and Turkish international Ozan Tufan were sanctioned by Fenerbahce last month.
According to AS, a Spanish publication, Ozil might be on his way to MLS team Inter Miami, with Fenerbahce poised to cancel the German’s contract.
Miami is leading the race to sign Ozil, and the player has expressed a desire to play in the United States before, but there is also interest from Championship club Hull City, whose new Turkish owner Acun Medya is said to be a close friend of the former Real Madrid star.
Ozil’s future in Turkey is uncertain after the playmaker reacted badly to getting subbed off at half-time during Fenerbahce’s clash against Konyaspor last month.
The 33-year-old was also left out of the squad entirely for their last match with Kayserispor.
Ozil signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Fenerbahce in January 2021, having been previously exiled from the Arsenal squad by Mikel Arteta.
