Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of Usman Bala Muhammad as the new Head of Service for the state.
Until his new appointment, Muhammad was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Kano State.
Other appointments announced by the governor on Monday included Engineer Muhammad Bello Shehu, who until his elevation as a permanent secretary was a Director of Research and Statistics with the Kano Roads Maintenance Agency (KARMA)
Magaji Lawan, who until his new appointment as Permanent Secretary, was Director Final Accounts, Ministry of Finance,
It also included Bilyaminu Gambo Zubairu who was also Director PHC, Rano Zonal Office but has been elevated to a Permanent Secretary.
Mairo Audi Dambatta, who until her new appointment, was Director in the Office of the Head of Service, is now a Permanent Secretary.
All the appointments, according to the press statement, are to take effect immediately.
While congratulating the appointees on their newly assigned responsibilities, Governor Ganduje enjoined them to always work hard for the promotion of good virtues in public service.
‘You must take it as part of your responsibilities, employing IT-based techniques in your day to day official engagements,’ he stated.
‘You must also bear in mind that, it was your proven track records that uplift you to present spaces. Hence all eyes will be on you to see how you will navigate through,’ he concluded.
