At least one person has been killed in Enugu after gunmen attacked a motor park in the state.
The assailants who are purportedly enforcing weekly sit-at-home in Enugu despite its ban by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) also burnt a Toyota Sienna car.
According to Daily Trust, the driver of the razed vehicle was still loading passengers when the gunmen attacked the popular Holy Ghost Motor Park.
The driver was said to have escaped the attack unscathed. The park, which is located at Chris Chemist axis, is a stone’s throw from the Enugu State Police Command.

The driver of the burnt vehicle was said to be in the habit of loading very early every Monday morning to beat the sit-at-home enforcers. He stood a distance away from his vehicle when the gunmen arrived in a minibus.
The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident, said only one person was shot and was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
Ndukwe, in a press release yesterday, said police had launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
