Chrisland School says it will make more information available to the public on the alleged rape of one of its pupils in due course.
In a telephone conversation with Daily Trust, the school said it would speak on the saga through an official statement.
“Yes, this is Chrisland School. I am not permitted to speak on the issue. We will soon release an official statement. Thank you.” an official of the school, who pleaded anonymity, told the media outlet.
The official said she was not authorised to speak on the matter.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported how the 10-year-old pupil was suspended by the school after she was sexually abused during a truth-or-dare game.
It was gathered via a video released by the girl’s mother that while the girl was being raped by her peers, someone recorded the act and posted it online.
The aggrieved and troubled mother also accused the school of trying to cover up the incident.
While narrating the incident, the mother of the girl disclosed that the school threatened to kill her daughter if she told anyone about the incident
