President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a meeting with some ministers and heads of security outfits at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, 2022, comes one week after the recommendation by the Council of State.
In attendance are Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.).
Ministers present at the meeting include the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and the Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (retd.).
Also in attendance are the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Adm. Awwal Gambo; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, who was represented.
Other heads of security outfits present include the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman; the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar.
